Like most other practices, we offer regularly scheduled appointments
- To allow couples and individuals to make methodical progress in addressing and overcoming their marriage challenges.
- Like a few practices, we conduct Couples Intensives – where couples in crisis receive the full efforts of licensed counselors for many hours over a continuous 3-day period.
- Unlike most practices, we also offer marriage- & family-enhancement events and programs for churches and other groups, to help participants get the practical insights they need to build a stable, enjoyable marriages and families.
As dedicated followers of Jesus Christ, we integrate Biblical teachings and practices into our counseling where appropriate. But this does not mean that our clientele is limited to Christians. We are glad to see anyone who is teachable and seeking counsel.
As members in good standing of the American Association of Christian Counselors we endorse and are bound by the AACC Code of Ethics. (We encourage you to review this entire document if you wish to learn more.)
Among its requirements is The Consent for Biblical and Spiritual Practices in Counseling (1-330) which states:
Christian counselors do not presume that all clients want or will be receptive to explicit spiritual Judeo – Christian interventions in counseling and therefore, obtain consent that honors client choice, receptivity to these practices, and the timing and manner in which these elements are introduced . This includes, but is not limited to the following: (1) prayer for and with clients; (2) Bible reading and reference; (3) spiritual meditation; (4) the use of biblical and religious imagery or music; (5) assistance with spiritual formation and discipline; (6) incorporation of fasting in the treatment plan as a spiritual discipline; and (7) other common spiritual practices.
If you or someone you care about have need of experienced, effective, empathetic marriage counseling, we will be honored to share a few moments and discuss the ways we may be of service to you.
