Essentially a Couples Intensive involves one couple, working with a seasoned therapist exclusively for either a One-Day Intensive (8 hours) or a 2 1/2 day (20 hour) period. This involves client and couple specific therapy. The counseling services are customized to address the unique needs of the couple and to build a long-term plan for the health of the marriage.
Ongoing weekly or monthly marriage counseling sessions can be effective but sometimes a relationship is at a fragile tipping point and a couple needs more concentrated immediate attention. A 2 ½ day marriage “intensive” can accomplish more than 4 months of ongoing weekly counseling and jump-start progress in repairing and restoring a relationship. When a couple chooses to take time off from regular activities and gives priority to working on issues that are contributing to distress and discouragement amazing, life-changing results are possible.
2 1/2 DAY MARRIAGE INTENSIVE:
At Christian Counseling Associates of Raleigh, we utilize our proprietary Connected Marriage Home© counseling model. We deal with the past, present and future of each relationship and modify our curriculum to help each couple we serve break free from old baggage and destructive conflict. We help our clients forge healthy attachment patterns for the future. Each marriage intensive is personalized using the model we have developed with 10 essential building blocks and corresponding skills and interventions for relational health, happiness and growth. Our approach to marriage counseling is a proven integrated model that combines Christian values, Emotionally-Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method Couples Therapy. We are pleased to report that this approach is extremely effective with an average 85% success rate with couples involved in our counseling.
Individual Couples Intensive Fees & Structure:
$3,500 TOTAL per couple for the entire 2 1/2 day program. Checks payable to “Christian Counseling Associates Raleigh. Due three weeks prior too Intensive.
$250 deposit (non-refundable) due upon confirmation of reservation 4 weeks prior to Intensive.
Remainder ($3250) is due THREE WEEKS prior to Intensive.
Cancellation Policy: All fees excluding the $250 deposit will be refunded if cancellations are received and acknowledged by email at least two weeks prior to the Intensive. For cancellations less than two weeks before the intensive all monies received may be applied to a future rescheduled date. The reason for this is that we have to clear our calendar of all counseling appointments far in advance to schedule marriage intensives.

Marriage Tune-up (1 Day, 10 am – 6 pm)

We also offer a one day personalized Marriage Tune-Up for any couple on Mondays (preferred). This involves one couple with one therapist for 8 hours. The purpose is to focus on specific areas of repair and growth utilizing our “10 Building Blocks of Connected Marriage.” Total cost Currently $1,500 (includes $250 non-refundable deposit).
Marriage Tune-Up Fee & Structure:
Checks payable to “Christian Counseling Associates Raleigh”
$250 deposit (non-refundable) due upon confirmation of reservation 4 weeks prior to Tune-up.$1,000 due TWO WEEKS prior to Tune-up
(Airfare, travel, hotel and costs of meals & incidentals not included)

Monday: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm (with breaks)

For cancellations less than 15 days before the intensive all monies received may be applied to a future rescheduled date. The reason for this is that we have to clear our calendar of all other counseling appointments far in advance to schedule marriage intensives and group conferences.
Insurance Coverage: All clients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider to clarify benefits. We do not file for insurance but we will provide a medical receipt that can be submitted for potential reimbursements. It may also be used as a medical deduction on income tax returns.
Confidentiality: All activity and conversations occurring during Connected Marriage© Intensive are kept strictly confidential.
Location of Connected Marriage Intensives: All Connected Marriage© Intensives are confidential and conducted at our comfortable and relaxing main offices at 7008 Harps Mill Rd. Suite 103, Raleigh, NC, 27615 or at another local conference/seminar facility. If we are conducting a session off-site we will provide directions as well as detailed information about nearby lodging and dining options.
Meals: Breaks and lunch hours are “on-your-own.” We gladly make recommendations to many nearby excellent restaurants.
Lodging: All couples from outside the immediate Raleigh – Durham “Triangle” area are responsible for securing their own accommodations. Local residents might also wish to consider out-of-the-home lodgings during their event in order to focus full attention on the program and eliminate household distractions. There are many outstanding hotels within a few miles of our location. We recommend the following for close proximity. Cost will mostly be in descending order.
